Interesting yes. However I would say there is a difference in motivation. In the case of a black man walking down a southern street he would be doing so to make a point against those who would choose to oppress him. In the case of the pastor burning the Koran he is venting his hatred at a religion he believes is evil, Islam is not oppressing him in any way no matter what his perception of it is.
