How often does a deer 'blow' in the woods?

i've found my self many times sitting in a stand and the next second a deer blows out of no where. i was thinking, how often does a deer blow, while humans arn't in the woods. they dont have many enemies here in mid georgia besides a coyote and a occational sasquatch. has any research been done on this topic? thanks
