If you've done nothing wrong let Big Brother watch you?

Am I the only one who finds this notion stupid? Logically it makes sense but, as a sentient being, the thought of someone watching me 24/7 freaks me out. It's for the same reason you don't want your parents stood over your shoulder while you use the internet. It's just kind of disturbing.
