Is Series of unfortunate events a true story??

Ok yes its a book and yes i noe that the author isnt really someone called "Lemony Snicket" but i still want to know if the events that happns in the series is true?? I mean sure there are a few things over exaggerated but is it true that one there was someone called the baudelaire children who met count olaf and quagmire twins and stuff??
