How do people with caught/cot merger pronounce "talk"?

Just to be sure, the mergers are the ones that pronounce both words as if they sounded the same, right? Is the standard for "talk" /tɔk/? I'm trying to write in IPA how a person with the merger would pronounce "talk", but i'm confused, would they say it /tɒk/ or /tɑk/? Thank you!!
