Do you feel safe when carrying a glock?

I feel absolutely safe when I carry my glock 21sf. I generally don't keep one in the chamber but I practice drawing and racking the slide with my finger to the side of the trigger. If I know I am going into a bad part of town I generally put one in the chamber to be on the advantage side.
